Classes

Cake classes are held in my studio, which is based in Cross in Hand, East Sussex.

All tools, materials and equipment will be provided for you to use on the day. Refreshments and a light lunch are also included in full day classes.

ONE DAY SUGAR FLOWERS -£120

Learn various techniques to create a variety of beautiful sugar flowers. You will work with florist paste, learn how to colour, vein, frill, dust, wire & tape. The class will run from 10-5 with refreshments and lunch included.

You will make:

-large rose
-small buds
-berries
-carnations
-lavender
-sweet peas
-wired leaves

We have a maximum of 4 spaces available per class.

2nd March – FULLY BOOKED

DRIP CAKE COURSE -£90

Learn how to create our signature drip cake. You will learn to stack and cover your cake to a professional standard, to decorate using our ‘drip’ technique, and to create beautiful chocolate shards. The class will run from 1-5 with refreshments included.

Learn how to:

-level and fill your cakes
-make the perfect buttercream
-crumb coat
-create a smooth buttercream finish
-create beautiful chocolate sails using a tempering technique
-create that perfect drip effect
-decorate your drip cake!

SHARP EDGES COURSE -£140

On this course you will learn the secrets to achieving super sharp edges with fondant and create a small sugar flower arrangement to adorn your cake. The class will run from 10-5 with refreshments and lunch included.

*6” Cake provided

Learn how to:

-level and fill your cakes
-make the perfect ganache
-ganache your cakes to a professional finish
-make small sugar flower decorations for your cake (two small roses and foliage)
-perfectly ice your cake and create those beautifully sharp modern edges!
-decorate you cake with sugar flowers
